xBRL-CSV is not Excel
ITS 2024/2956 mandates xBRL-CSV — a typed, validated format. Spreadsheet 'Save as CSV' produces a file every supervisor's validator rejects.
Inter-linked tables
A subcontractor in table 7 must reference an entity in table 4. A function in table 6 must match a service in table 3. Excel cannot enforce this.
Audit trail is mandatory
Supervisors ask 'who changed this CIF flag, when, and why?'. Spreadsheets store last-modified, not full history.

How is the data hosted?
